The first half of 2017 saw home sales in the Shoals area rise 4 percent over the same period in 2016.
According to the latest data from the Alabama Center for Real Estate, there were 845 homes sold in the Muscle Shoals area through June, compared to 808 a year ago.

Year-to-date pricing in Shoals is also up 10 percent to a median sales price of $130,667.
Inventory remained about the same as the first six months of 2016, while the market was fairly balanced at 5.9 months of housing supply.
